Cost for Senior Trip to Chicopee, Massachusetts RESOLUTION 6:16:08 - 1 Authorizing Increased Bus Cost for Senior Trip to Chicopee, Massachusetts
WHEREAS, the cost of a bus for the senior trip to the Lobsterfest in Chicopee, Massachusetts was previously approved by resolution on January 28, 2008; and WHEREAS, a larger bus is required to accommodate the amount of seniors wishing to attend this trip; and WHEREAS, funds are available in the 2008 budget for the cost of a larger bus; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the additional cost of $163.00 for a 55 seat coach bus for the Senior trip to the Lobsterfest in Chicopee, Massachusetts on July 16, 2008 is hereby authorized. Dated: June 16, 2008 RESOLUTION 6:16:08 - 2 Community Day Contracts Councilman Daniel French offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the Town of Beekman’s annual Community Day celebration will be held on July 19, 2008; and WHEREAS, proposals have been received for the rental of tents, chairs and tables as well as entertainment for this event; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the following expenditures for Community Day are hereby authorized:

RESOLUTION 6:16:08 - 3 Authorizing Expenditures for Day Camp Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, Town of Beekman Recreation Department has scheduled four, two-week sessions of day camp for the enjoyment of children in the community; and WHEREAS, a camp trip has been scheduled for each session; and WHEREAS, the cost of each trip has been included in the registration fee; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that payment shall be made for the following trips:
ROLL CALL VOTE: Dated: June 16, 2008 RESOLUTION 6:16:08 - 4 Authorizing Disability Benefits for Employees in the CSEA Bargaining Unit Councilwoman Barbara Zulauf offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the Town of Beekman CSEA Bargaining Agreement states that the Town shall provide New York State Disability Insurance for its employees; and WHEREAS, municipalities are not required by law to provide disability benefits for its employees; and WHEREAS, in order for applications for Voluntary Coverage to be processed, the State of New York Workers’ Compensation Board Disability Benefits Bureau requires municipalities to submit a Town Board resolution stating that it agrees to provide disability insurance; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes the submission of an
application for Seconded Councilman Werner Stiegler

RESOLUTION 6:16:08 - 5 To Release Bond for Pond Hills Professional Building Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the Town Engineer, Rohde, Soyka & Andrews, has completed a final site inspection of Pond Hills Professional Building; and WHEREAS, all items described in the Performance Bond Estimate of December 4, 2006 as prepared by Rohde, Soyka & Andrews have been satisfactorily completed; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes that the bond in the amount of $7,000.00 for Pond Hills Professional Building be released by the Town of Beekman; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk be and hereby authorized to return any securities underlying the released bonds, if any.

Now therefore, let it be RESOLVED, that the July 7, 2008 and July 21, 2008 Town Board meetings set at the January 7, 2008 Reorganization Meeting be hereby cancelled; and be it further RESOLVED, that the July, 2008 Town Board meeting will be conducted on Monday, July 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Community Center on Recreation Center Road.
