Budget RESOLUTION 11:17:08 - 1 Adoption of the 2009 Annual Budget
RESOLVED, that the 2009 budget as changed, altered and revised and as attached hereto, is hereby adopted as the annual budget of the Town of Beekman for the fiscal year beginning on January 1, 2009, and the same shall be entered in the minutes of the Town Board.
ROLL CALL VOTE:
RESOLUTION 11:17:08 - 2 To Affirm and Adopt Assessment Roll for 2009 For Capital Improvements Made to the Dover Ridge Sewer District Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the Assessor to the Town of Beekman completed and filed the assessment-roll for the Dover Ridge Sewer District pursuant to Article 15 of the New York State Town Law; and WHEREAS, the Town Board caused due notice of the completion of the assessment-roll and of the time and place wherein the Town Board would meet and hear and consider any objections to the roll to be duly published according to law; and WHEREAS, the Town Board did meet at the Town Hall, 4 Main Street, Poughquag in the Town of Beekman, New York, at the time and place specified in the notice, and heard and considered all objections to said assessment-roll; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Dover Ridge Sewer District assessment-roll be and is hereby affirmed and adopted as originally proposed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Beekman; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and hereby is directed to transmit a copy of said assessment roll to the Board of Legislators of the County to be levied and assessed upon the lots and parcels of lands listed in said assessment roll at the time and in the manner provided by law for the levy of State, County and Town taxes.
ROLL CALL VOTE: Dated: November 17, 2008 RESOLUTION 11:17:08 - 3 To Affirm and Adopt Pawling Lake Assessment Roll to Finance Improvements Supervisor John Adams offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the Assessor to the Town of Beekman completed and filed the assessment-roll for the Pawling Lake Estates Road Improvement District pursuant to Article 15 of the New York State Town Law; and WHEREAS, the Town Board caused due notice of the completion of the assessment-roll and of the time and place wherein the Town Board would meet and hear and consider any objections to the roll to be duly published according to law; and WHEREAS, the Town Board did meet at the Town Hall, 4 Main Street, Poughquag in the Town of Beekman, New York, at the time and place specified in the notice, and heard and considered all objections to said assessment-roll; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Pawling Lake Estate Road Improvement District assessment-roll be and is hereby affirmed and adopted as originally proposed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Beekman; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and hereby is directed to transmit a copy of said assessment roll to the Board of Legislators of the County to be levied and assessed upon the lots and parcels of lands listed in said assessment roll at the time and in the manner provided by law for the levy of State, County and Town taxes.
ROLL CALL VOTE: Dated: November 17, 2008 RESOLUTION 11:17:08 - 4 Authorizing Entertainment for the Senior Hoe Down And the Snowflake Spectacular
WHEREAS, the annual Senior Hoe Down for the Senior Citizen Program will be held on November 20, 2008; and WHEREAS, the annual Snowflake Spectacular sponsored by the Recreation Department will be held on December 6, 2008; and WHEREAS, funding for both events were included in the 2008 budget; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with the following vendor for music for the Senior Hoe Down: Stolen Heart Band $ 600.00 and be it further RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to enter into contracts with the following vendors for the 2008 Snowflake Spectacular: Two by Two Zoo $ 675.00 Seconded Supervisor John Adams
