RE: Association of Towns 2002 Training School & Annual Meeting Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, the annual Association of Towns conference will be held February 17-20, 2002; and

WHEREAS, representatives from several departments of the Town of Beekman have included in their budget for 2002 the appropriation to attend said conference; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that authorization is hereby given for the Supervisor to forward all monies required for registration and lodging for the employees attending the conference.

RESOLUTION 1:07:02 - 2 RE: To Set Bond for Beekman Beverage Barn Councilman Peter Barton offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, Insite Engineering has prepared a Performance Bond Estimate dated December 19, 2001, recommending the bond be set in the amount of $84,000.00 for Beekman Beverage Barn; and

WHEREAS, the Planning Board adopted a resolution on December 20, 2001 to establish the bond amount as recommended by Insite Engineering; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby approves that the bond be set in the amount of $84,000.00 for Beekman Beverage Barn and to be furnished by the applicant for filing in the office of the Town Clerk.

RESOLUTION 1:07:02 - 3 RE: To Increase Fees for Adoption and Unlicensed Dogs Councilwoman Santospirito offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, New York State requires that all animals be spayed or neutered prior to adoption; and

WHEREAS, expenses related to the seizure and impounding of stray and unlicensed dogs has increased; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the adoption fee is hereby increased from $25 to $35; and be it further

RESOLVED, that the fee for unlicensed dogs is hereby increased from $25 to $50.

RESOLUTION 1:07:02 - 4 RE: Naming of Recreation Center Road Councilwoman Mauro offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, private road off of Recreation Road appears on Tax Maps #6759-00 and #6759-03 as Recreation Center Road; and

WHEREAS, said private road needs to be identified so that 911 Emergency Personnel may differentiate location from any other call on Recreation Road; and

WHEREAS, 911 Emergency Control Center has approved the name of Recreation Center Road; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that above said private road is officially named "Recreation Center Road".

RESOLUTION 1:07:02 - 5 RE: To Set Fee for Tree Harvesting Permit Supervisor John Adams offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, the Town Board has added Tree Harvesting to the Zoning Regulations requiring the purchase of a Tree Harvesting Permit; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that a fee of $100.00 is set for the Tree Harvesting Permit and is added to the "Building and Zoning Fee Schedule" as per attached.

RESOLUTION 1:07:02 - 6 RE: Rescinding Non-Renewal of Union Vale Transfer Facility Agreement Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 05:21:00-81 directed the Supervisor of the Town of Beekman to send written notification to the Supervisor of the Town of Union Vale of Beekman's intention not to renew the prior agreement; and

WHEREAS, written notification was sent to the Supervisor of the Town of Union Vale on May 25, 2001; and

WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Supervisor to provide the residents of the Town of Beekman a place to dispose of their garbage by continuing the Transfer Agreement with Union Vale; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that Resolution No. 05:21:00-81 is hereby rescinded allowing residents to purchase transfer station permits for the Union Vale Recycling Center; and be it further

RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and hereby authorized to investigate other alternatives or enter into renegotiations with the Town of Union Vale upon completion of the contract.

RESOLUTION 1:07:02 - 7 RE: Acceptance-Dutchess County Youth Board Grant Supervisor John Adams offers the following an moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, the Town of Beekman has submitted a 2002 Youth Development Delinquency Prevention (YDDP) application to the Dutchess County Youth Board for "Recreation Youth Basketball League" and

WHEREAS, by letter dated December 19, 2001, the Dutchess County Youth Board notified the Town of Beekman that the Town's YDDP application has been granted in the amount of $4,412.00, which grant program is funded in part through the New York State Office of Children and Family Services with the assistance of the Dutchess County Youth Bureau, now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Supervisor of the Town of Beekman, John D. Adams, and the Beekman Town Board hereby authorize and ratify the YDDP application to the New York State Office of Children and Family Services and the Dutchess County Youth Bureau, agree to abide by all stated grant requirements and hereby accept these 2002 grant funds for the purpose herein above stated and be it further

RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and hereby authorized and empowered to take all steps necessary to implement this resolution which shall take effect immediately.
