RESOLUTION 7:01:02 - 1
RE: Archive Management Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, grants will be made available in February, 2003 to establish an archive program wherein town documents of historical significance can be properly categorized and stored; and

WHEREAS, New York State Archives will provide training in records management free of charge to local governments from July through September 2002; now therefore let it be

RESOLVED, that Thom Usher of the Historical Society be hereby authorized to attend said training workshops; and be it further

RESOLVED, that Thom Usher assist in the preparation and submission of the grant application.

RESOLUTION 7:01:02 - 2 RE: Authorizing Bookkeeper to Attend Seminar Councilwoman Santospirito offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, the Office of the State Comptroller is holding a seminar on Municipal Accounting Principles and Procedures at the Montgomery Town Hall in Orange County on August 13 -15, 2002; now therefore let it be

RESOLVED, that the bookkeeper be authorized to submit the $50 registration fee and attend the seminar.

RESOLUTION 7:01:02 - 3 RE: To Set Bond for Cumberland Farms Councilman Peter Barton offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, Rohde, Soyka & Andrews has prepared a Performance Bond Estimate dated June 20, 2002, recommending the bond be set in the amount of $145,270.00 for Cumberland Farms; and

WHEREAS, the Planning Board adopted a resolution on June 20, 2002 to establish the bond amount as recommended by Rohde, Soyka & Andrews, now therefore let it be

RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby approves the bond be set in the amount of $ 147,270.00 for Cumberland Farms and to be furnished by the applicant for filing in the office of the Town Clerk.

RESOLUTION 7:01:02 - 4 RE: Adoption of Local Law #2 Retirement Incentive Program Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, a proposed Local Law to adopt the 2002 Retirement Incentive Program was introduced by Councilman Werner Stiegler on June 17, 2002; and

WHEREAS, a public hearing on the proposed Local Law has been duly held before the Town Board on July 1, 2002; now therefore let it be

RESOLVED, that said Local Law, to be numerated as Local Law #2 of 2002, be and hereby is enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Beekman; and be it further

RESOLVED, that certified copies of this Local Law be filed immediately in the offices of the Beekman Town Clerk and the New York Secretary of State.

RESOLUTION 7:01:02 - 5 A motion was made by Councilwoman Patricia Santospirito to allow Community residents access to the Recreation Park at no cost, excluding the Waterfront and Skate Park. Residents wishing to use either the Waterfront or Skate Park must be registered as having paid a fee to the Recreation Center, prior to entering either area.

Motion was seconded by Supervisor John Adams

All Town Board members voted in favor of this motion.
