RESOLUTION 6:15:09 - 1
To Waive 30 Day Notice for Liquor License Application – Pleasant Ridge Pizzeria

Councilman Daniel French offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, Pleasant Ridge Pizzeria Company, Inc. doing business at 2859 Route 55, Poughquag, New York in the Town of Beekman is expanding their restaurant to include outdoor dining and intends to file for a New York State Liquor License for the expansion; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Alcohol Beverage Control Law § 64 (2A), an applicant must give the municipality thirty (30) days notice of the pending liquor license application unless the municipality consents to waive this thirty (30) day requirement; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Beekman hereby waives the thirty (30) days notice period in regard to Pleasant Ridge Pizzeria Company, Inc. allowing an earlier submission of the liquor license application.

RESOLUTION 6:15:09 - 2 Fireworks for Community Day

Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, the 2009 Annual Community Day is scheduled for July 18, 2009; and

WHEREAS, it has been a tradition to have a fireworks display for the enjoyment of our community; and

WHEREAS, funding has been provided for in the 2009 budget as well as through the generous donations of the community; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for the
annual fireworks display to be provided by Legion Fireworks Co., Inc. at a cost of $3,500.00.

RESOLUTION 6:15:09 - 3 Reappointment of Town Prosecutor

Supervisor John Adams offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, Michael O. Foley was appointed on March 17, 2008 to serve in the capacity of Town Prosecutor to prosecute zoning violations as well as certain traffic and vehicular violations in our local court; and

WHEREAS, the agreement the Town of Beekman and Michael Foley entered into has since expired; and

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the citizens of the Town of Beekman to continue to utilize the services of Mr. Foley; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby reappoints Michael O. Foley to serve as the Town of Beekman Prosecutor at a fee of $500.00 for each monthly court session in which the various summonses will be prosecuted in addition to the terms and conditions as outlined in the attached renewal contract dated May 21, 2009; and be it further

RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to execute said contract between the Town of Beekman and Michael O. Foley.

RESOLUTION 6:15:09 - 4 Recreation Expenditures

Councilwoman Barbara Zulauf offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, “Opening Day” at the Rec for the 2009 summer season has been scheduled for Saturday, June 20; and

WHEREAS, there are four, two-week sessions of day camp scheduled for 2009 for which a camp trip has been scheduled for each session; and

WHEREAS, the 2009 budget includes funds for opening day entertainment as well as camp trips; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the following expenditures are hereby authorized:
