Info
The Senior Center is a wonderful place to bring a friend or make one.
It is an opportunity to get out of the house, share good company and experience
many wonderful activities and events. The Center is a drop in program
and is open and free to Beekman residents and friends. The Center offers
many activities. Participants are encouraged to bring a bag lunch.
Staffing
The Beekman Senior Citizens Center is run by the Town of Beekman under
the direction of Sue Gartner. Sue has been with the Center for over 19
years and continues to keep our Center running smoothly! She is assisted
by Peggy Baxter.

Hours:
Mondays & Thursdays: 10am - 2pm
Activities
• Cards & Games: An ever popular activity continues
to be sharing a friendly game of cards. Tables are set up and newcomers
are encouraged to join in. Pokeno, Pinochle, Poker, Aggravation and Bingo
are favorites. We are always happy to add new games if there is interest!
• Crafts: Monday is Craft Day. The crafting begins
at 10am. Craft instructor, Peggy Baxter, is on hand to assist with the
day’s project. Seasonal décor, jewelry and household items
are only a few of the areas covered. You need not be an advanced crafter
to make on of our beautiful and fun projects!
• 50/50 Raffle: is always a popular option and
will be offered each day. Drawing is held during lunch.
Senior
Enrichment Classes
The
Beekman Senior Program offers a variety of classes to grab a number of
interests. Art classes, jazzercise and line dancing have met great interest
and have been a lot of fun! Find

of events is available at the sign-in table at the door and includes:

How to Register:
It’s Easy! If you’re 62 or over, stop by the Community Center
in Rec Park during Senior Center Hours and complete a Registration form!
