of Town of Beekman Design Handbook RESOLUTION 1:24:05 - 1 RE: Acceptance of Town of Beekman Design Handbook Councilman Daniel French offers the following and moves its adoption:
WHEREAS, said Local Law calls for the creation and adoption of the Town of Beekman Design Handbook outlining guidelines for architectural features of proposed construction, additions, alterations or remodeling which is deemed appropriate for the Town; and WHEREAS, the Architectural Review Board has submitted a proposed Town of Beekman Design Handbook for review by the Town Board; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby adopts the attached Town of Beekman Design Handbook to be used during the review process by the Architectural Review Board.

RESOLUTION 1:24:05 - 2 RE: Correction of Building Inspector II Salary Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, an error was made in calculating the 2005 salary of the Building Inspector II position held by Edmund Thomas McHugh; now therefore be it RESOLVED that the 2005 annual salary of Edmund Thomas McHugh, Building Inspector/Zoning Inspector is corrected to $47,376.00.
RESOLUTION 1:24:05 - 3 RE: Naming of “Fairhaven Court”
WHEREAS, “Fairhaven Court” is the name proposed for said road; and WHEREAS, the proposed name, “Fairhaven Court”, has been approved by the Planning Board at their January 20, 2005 meeting as well as the Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the name “Fairhaven Court” be given to the road in the Ginese Subdivision; and be it further RESOLVED, that Dutchess County 911 be duly notified of this name so that it can be placed in the 911 database.

RESOLUTION 1:24:05 - 4 RE: Appointment of Recreation Assistant Councilman Thomas Kinsley offers the following and moves its adoption:
WHEREAS, a vacancy for the position of Recreation Assistant exists due to the resignation of Jennifer Davis; and WHEREAS, this position was advertised in the Poughkeepsie Journal with interviews subsequently held by the Recreation Director; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that upon the recommendation of the Recreation Director, the Town Board hereby appoints Christine Gates as Recreation Assistant; and be it further RESOLVED, that Christine Gates will commence work on February 7, 2005 at an hourly rate of $13.00 per hour as set forth in the wage matrix as established by the Recreation Commission.

RESOLUTION 1:24:05 - 5 RE: To Set Public Hearing – Continuation of Town Center Public Hearing Based on Amended Version of the Proposed Local Law Councilwoman Barbara Zulauf offers the following and moves its adoption:
WHEREAS, subsequent to a Town Board workshop on January 10, 2005 to discuss the comments made at said Public Hearing, amendments have been made to the proposed Local Law; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the continuation of said Public Hearing will be held on the 7th day of February, 2005 at 7:15 o’clock p.m. at the Town Hall, 4 Main Street, Poughquag, in the Town of Beekman, New York, and that notice of the time and place of such continuation and setting forth the amended version of the proposed Local Law be published once on or before the 27th day of January, 2005 in the Poughkeepsie Journal, a newspaper circulating in the Town of Beekman; and be it further RESOLVED, that copies of the amended version of the proposed Local Law will be available for examination and inspection in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Beekman between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on all business days.

RESOLUTION 1:24:05 - 6 RE: To Amend Sect. 19-9 of Town Code – Required Disclosure of Interest Supervisor John Adams offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, Section 19-9 of Town Code requires the completion of an annual disclosure of interest; and WHEREAS, in an attempt to clarify the disclosure of interest procedures and to increase compliance, the Ethics Board recommends amending the wording of Section 19-9, Paragraph A, Section 19-9, Appendix A, herewith attached; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that a public hearing on the recommended changes to the Town Code be held on the 7th day of February, 2005 at 7:10 o’clock p.m. at the Town Hall, 4 Main Street, Poughquag, in the Town of Beekman, New York, and that notice of the time and place of such hearing and setting forth the proposed amendments, be published once on or before the 27th day of January, 2005 in the Poughkeepsie Journal, a newspaper circulating in the Town of Beekman.

RESOLUTION 1:24:05 - 7 RE: To Set Public Hearing Supplemental Bond Resolution for Dover Ridge Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption:
WHEREAS, upon receiving bids and awarding the project to the lowest bidder as well as increased costs of related services, the project costs are more than estimated; and WHEREAS; it has been determined that the increased cost estimate will require an additional $175,000; and WHEREAS, the Town Board as the Commissioners of the District request that the Town of Beekman make available funds to finance the proposed improvements of the Dover Ridge Facility by authorizing the issuance of obligations of the Town of Beekman in the aggregate principal amount not to exceed $1,200,000, including $1,025,000 previously approved obligations, pursuant to the Local Finance Law, and that a sum sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on such obligations, as the same shall become due and payable, shall be assessed, levied and collected from the several lands and parcels of real property within the District in the same manner and at the same time as other Town charges and as prescribed by the Town Law; and WHEREAS, applicable New York law requires a public hearing if and when the estimated costs of the proposed improvements are increased; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that a public hearing on the amended capital improvement amount of $1,200,000, including $1,025,000 previously approved will be held on the 7th day of February, 2005 at 7:00 o’clock p.m. at the Town Hall, 4 Main Street, Poughquag, in the Town of Beekman, New York, and that notice of the time and place of such hearing and setting forth the purpose of said hearing, be published once on or before the 27th day of January, 2005 in the Poughkeepsie Journal, a newspaper circulating in the Town of Beekman.
