at Code Enforcement Educational Conference RESOLUTION 2:05:07 - 1 RE: Authorizing Attendance at Code Enforcement Educational Conference
WHEREAS, the 2007 Hudson Valley Code Enforcement Officers Educational Conference will be held April 18 through the 20th in Poughkeepsie, New York; and WHEREAS, attendance will be beneficial for the town’s Building Inspector and Deputy Building Inspector; and WHEREAS, the cost of $250 per person is included in the 2007 budget; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that Edmund Thomas McHugh and Shawn Beresford are hereby authorized to attend said conference. Seconded Councilman Werner Stiegler ROLL CALL VOTE: Dated: February 5, 2007 RESOLUTION 2:05:07 - 2 RE: Appointing Special Planning Consultant for Grape Hollow Subdivisions
WHEREAS, said subdivisions are contained in the two townships of Beekman and Pawling as well as borders on Agricultural property; and WHEREAS, the Town of Beekman Planning Board recommends that it is in the best interest of the Town and the applicant to use a planning consultant to assist the Planning Board in the performance of the coordinated SEQRA review through the preliminary planning stage; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that Mr. Arthur Brod of Planners East, Inc., who also advises the Planning Board on other projects in the Town, be and hereby is appointed as the Planning Board SEQRA consultant for the Grape Hollow Subdivisions Project; and be it further RESOLVED, that Mr. Brod’s professional fees will be paid from the developer’s escrow account established for this project.
February 5, 2007 RESOLUTION 2:05:07 - 3 RE: Authorizing Change in Life Insurance Carrier Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, in an attempt to lower the cost of life insurance covering full time employees and elected officials, proposals were sought; and WHEREAS, we have obtained an additional proposal from Palmiter Benefits Group, LLC for life insurance coverage through The Jefferson Pilot Lifeamerica Company at a much lower premium while maintaining the same coverage; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to accept the proposal as submitted by Palmiter Benefits Group, LLC with The Jefferson Pilot Lifeamerica Company and that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents to implement the insurance proposal. Dated: February 5, 2007 RESOLUTION 2:05:07 - 4 RE: To Set Public Hearing To Adopt Local Law Extending Moratorium in the Hamlet Councilman Daniel French offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the existing moratorium on planning approvals in the Poughquag Hamlet is due to expire at the end of the month; and WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Planning Review Committee (CPRC) continues to examine the current Hamlet Code for consistency with the Town’s Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Laws; and WHEREAS, the Town Board is desirous in continuing to impose a moratorium in the Poughquag Hamlet until such time as the CPRC has completed their review; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that a public hearing on a proposed Local Law imposing a moratorium in the Poughquag Hamlet shall be held on the 26th day of February, 2007 at 7:20 p.m. at the Town Hall, 4 Main Street, Poughquag, New York; and be it further RESOLVED, that notice stating the time and place of such hearing and the purpose thereof, shall be published in the Poughkeepsie Journal, a newspaper circulating in the Town of Beekman, and posted on the signboard of the Town on or before the 16th day of February, 2007.

RESOLUTION 2:05:07 - 5 RE: Authorizing Trips Sponsored by Recreation Department Councilman Thomas Kinsley offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the 2007 recreation budget includes funding for the cost of a variety of bus trips for the enjoyment of the community; and WHEREAS, deposits are required for tickets, shows and meals to guarantee the reservations and for which the Town is reimbursed through ticket sales; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that payment for the charter of a bus for the following trips is hereby authorized:
and be it further RESOLVED, that deposits for tickets, shows and meals for the above trips are hereby authorized.

WHEREAS, deposits are required for tours, shows and meals to guarantee the reservations and for which to the Town is reimbursed through ticket sales; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that payment for the charter of a bus for the following trips are hereby authorized:
and be it further RESOLVED, that deposits for tours, shows and meals for the above trips are hereby authorized. Seconded Supervisor John Adams
