RESOLUTION 3:01:04 - 1 RE: Appointments to the CAC

Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, the Conservation Advisory Council is seeking individuals to fill a vacancy and increase their membership; and

WHEREAS, interviews of interested individuals have taken place; and

WHEREAS, the Town Board will make appointments to the various boards; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the following appointments be made to the CAC for a term of two years to expire December 31, 2005:

William O’Donnell
Arthur T. Hamfeldt

And be it further RESOLVED, that Clifford Schwark and Thomas Sanford be hereby re-appointed to serve an additional two-year term to expire December 31, 2005.

RESOLUTION 3:01:04 - 2 RE: Appointments to the Ethics Board

Councilwoman Barbara Zulauf offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, two vacancies exist on the Ethics Board; and

WHEREAS, interviews of interested candidates have taken place; and

WHEREAS, the Town Board will make appointments to the various boards; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the following appointments be made to the Ethics Board:

Bob Berry term to expire 2/11/08
Don Fendrich term to expire 2/11/09

RESOLUTION 3:01:04 - 3 RE: To Go out to Bid for the Purchase of Highway Trucks

Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, the Town of Beekman Highway Superintendent is requesting permission to go out to bid for the purchase of three new trucks to replace aging vehicles that are no longer functioning adequately; and

WHEREAS, funds for replacement of equipment is located in the “Highway Equipment Capital Reserve Fund”; now therefore let it be

RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized to seek bids for the following:

Two (2) 17,500 lb. minimum GVWR four wheel drive trucks
One (1) 8,800 GVWR four wheel drive Pick-up

And be it further RESOLVED, that upon awarding of these bids, the Town Clerk is directed to place the required legal notices in accordance with the permissive referendum requirements established for the “Highway Capital Reserve Fund”.

RESOLVED, that the following appointments be made to the Recreation Commission:

Eric Kanterman term to expire 12/31/07
John Donnelly term to expire 12/31/10

RESOLUTION 3:01:04 - 5 RE: To Award Bid – Tree Work

Supervisor John Adams offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, authorization was given for the Town Clerk to advertise for Highway Materials including annual tree work; and

WHEREAS, bids for annual tree work were received, opened and read publicly on February 25, 2004 in the office of the Town Clerk and reviewed by the Highway Superintendent and herewith attached; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the bid for annual tree work is hereby awarded to:

Allen’s Tree Service
