Bids for Clean-Up Day RESOLUTION 03:03:03 - 1 RE: To Authorize Bids for Clean-Up Day Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the Town Board sees fit to offer the residents the opportunity to dispose of items that cannot be taken to the recycling center or discarding in the general trash; and WHEREAS, Saturday, May 17th from 7 AM to 3 PM has been designated as Spring Clean-Up Day for 2003, and Saturday, October 18 from 7 AM to 3 PM for Fall Clean-Up Day; and WHEREAS, participation is for Town of Beekman residents only who show proof of residency, with a valid Driver's License; and WHEREAS, NO garbage, hazardous material, brush or building materials will be accepted; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk be hereby authorized to seek proposals for said services, to ensure the Town receives the best affordable prices. CALL VOTE: Dated: March 3, 2003 RESOLUTION 03:03:03 - 2 RE: Authorizing Town Historian to Attend Symposium Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the Center for Lifetime Studies at Marist College is hosting a symposium on April 22, 2003 at the Poughkeepsie Tennis Club; and WHEREAS, they have asked the Town of Beekman to do a presentation on the history and background of the Town; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Historian, Vincent Vail, is hereby authorized to attend the symposium. CALL VOTE: Dated: March 3, 2003 RESOLUTION 03:03:03 - 4 RE: Appointment to the Recreation Commission Councilman Peter Barton offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the Town Board will make appointments to the various boards; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that Matt Hanson be and hereby re-appointed to the Recreation Commission with a term to expire 12/31/09.
