Advisory Council and Board of Assessment Review RESOLUTION 4:7:08 - 1 RE: 2008 Appointments Conservation Advisory Council and Board of Assessment Review Councilman Daniel French offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the Town Board will make appointments to the various boards; and WHEREAS, interviews have been conducted to fill the vacancies that exist; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby makes the following appointments to be effective immediately: CAC Stephen Connolly Term to expire 12/31/08 BAR Sharon Wohrman Term to expire 12/31/12
RESOLVED, that all appointees shall file their Oath of Office with the Town Clerk of the Town of Beekman prior to serving their term Seconded Councilman Werner Stiegler ROLL CALL VOTE:
RESOLUTION 4:7:08 - 2 RE: Authorizing Attendance at Conferences Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, attendance at conferences was included in the 2008 budget; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes attendance at the following conferences: Growing Hudson Valley Tourism-Thomas Usher, Town Historian, April 2,
2008 Main Street Economic Development Conference-Councilwoman Barbara Zulauf, Redesigning the Edgeless City –Planning Board & ZBA Members, May 7, 2008 in Poughkeepsie at a cost of $50.00 Pollution Prevention & Good Housekeeping for Municipal Operations-May 28, 2008, in Millbrook, Town of Beekman Highway Department Employees at a cost of $5.00 each Cornell Local Roads Program-Dave Temple, Highway Superintendent June 2-4, 2008 in Ithaca at a cost of approximately $650 for registration and lodging Seconded Councilwoman Barbara Zulauf ROLL CALL VOTE: Supervisor John Adams made a motion to include Maintenance Dept. for May 28 conference. RESOLUTION 4:7:08 - 3 RE: Authorizing Entertainment for Fishing Derby
WHEREAS, the Poughquag Sportsmen’s Club will be holding the annual Fishing Derby at the Beekman Recreation Area on April 19, 2008; and WHEREAS, the Recreation Department has included in their 2008 budget, the cost for children’s entertainment for this event; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes the payment of $300.00 to Recchia Originals, Ltd. for “Sparkles the Clown” to provide entertainment at the annual fishing derby. RESOLUTION 4:7:08 - 4 RE: Opening Day at the Rec Contracts
WHEREAS, the 2008 budget includes funds for entertainment for this event; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the following expenditures are hereby authorized: 1. Bob Martinson Duo for Musical Entertainment $275.00 2. Magical Fun for Everyone by Joel Zaritsky $300.00 3.
