RESOLUTION 4:17:06 - 1 RE: Adoption of Local Law #3 of 2006 Prohibiting the Construction and Operation of Outdoor Wood Burning Furnaces

Councilman Daniel French offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly held on the 20th day of March, 2006 on a proposed local law to establish and impose restrictions upon the operation of outdoor wood burning furnaces within the limits of the Town of Beekman for the purpose of securing and promoting the public health, comfort, convenience, safety, welfare and prosperity of the Town and its inhabitants; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that that Town Board of the Town of Beekman hereby adopts Local Law #3 of 2006 prohibiting further construction of and imposing restrictions upon the operation of outdoor wood burning furnaces; and be it further

RESOLVED, that this Local Law shall take effect immediately upon its filing with the Secretary of State.

RESOLUTION 4:17:06 - 2 RE: Award of Bid for Concession Stand Vendor


Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, the Town Clerk was authorized by the Town Board to advertise for Requests for Proposals for the operation of the concession stand at Recreation Park; and

WHEREAS, one proposal was received and reviewed by the Recreation Commission; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the proposal received from Lou Pedetalla is hereby accepted in accordance with the terms and conditions as outlined in the attached Concession Agreement; and be it further

RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to execute the Concession Agreement between the Town of Beekman and Lou Pedetalla for the operation of the concession stand at Recreation Park for the 2006 spring/summer season.

RESOLUTION 4:17:06 - 3 RE: Music for Memorial Day Ceremony


Supervisor John Adams offers the following and moves its adoption:


WHEREAS, the Town of Beekman holds a Memorial Day service and parade each year to remember, reflect and honor those veterans who have served our great nation; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and hereby is authorized to enter into a contract with the Sophisticates for their participation in our service on Monday, May 29, 2006 at a cost of $250.00.
