on the Purchase of Roadside Historical Markers RESOLUTION 5:07:07 - 1 RE: Increasing the Expenditure on the Purchase of Roadside Historical Markers
WHEREAS, the Town Board previously approved by resolution the purchase of three roadside historical markers to be placed along the Old Upper Road at an estimated cost of $950.00 each; and WHEREAS, upon submitting the text to be written on each sign, the actual cost of the three markers resulted in a cost higher than anticipated; and WHEREAS, the total cost of the three markers is $2,990.00; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes an additional $140.00 for the purchase of the roadside historical markers. RESOLUTION 5:07:07 - 2 RE: Cleaning Service for Town Hall
WHEREAS, a proposal was received from Andrew Galeno’s Cleaning Service for cleaning Town Hall twice a week at a cost of $127.82 per day; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes the Supervisor to enter into an agreement with Andrew Galeno’s Cleaning Service as per the attached proposal. RESOLUTION 5:07:07 - 3 RE: Insurance Renewal Supervisor John Adams offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the insurance policy for the town is due to expire on May 20, 2007; and WHEREAS, the Supervisor has obtained proposals of insurance, which have been reviewed by the Town Board; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to accept the proposal from Selective Insurance Company as submitted by Marshall & Sterling, Inc. for Property, General Liability, Umbrella, Business Auto and Crime insurance; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to accept the proposal from Darwin National Assurance Company as submitted by Marshall & Sterling Inc. for Public Officials Liability coverage; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and hereby authorized to execute the appropriate documents to implement the insurance proposals. RESOLUTION 5:07:07 - 4 RE: Music for Memorial Day Ceremony
WHEREAS, the Town of Beekman holds a Memorial Day service and parade each year to remember, reflect and honor those veterans who have served our great nation; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Supervisor be and hereby is authorized to enter into a contract with the Sophisticates for their participation in our service on Monday, May 28, 2007 at a cost of $325.00. RESOLUTION 5:07:07 - 5 RE: Authorizing Expenditures for “Summer Movie Night in the Park” Councilman Thomas Kinsley offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the Recreation Department has included in their 2007 budget funding to provide an outdoor movie for the enjoyment of the community; and WHEREAS, a proposal was received from Fresh Air Flicks to provide an outdoor movie package at a cost of $2,600.00; and WHEREAS, a proposal was received from Swank Motion Pictures, Inc. for the rental of the motion picture “Charlotte’s Web” to be shown on the equipment provided by Fresh Air Flicks of $321.00; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the expenditure of $2,921.00 for this event is hereby authorized; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to sign the Fresh Air Flicks Event Agreement.

RESOLUTION 5:07:07 - 6 RE: Authorizing Entertainment for the Toddler & Tots End of Season Party Councilman Daniel French offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the Recreation Department provides a Toddlers and Tots program during the school year; and WHEREAS, funds have been included in the 2007 budget for entertainment at their end of the season party on May 30, 2007; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the payment of $430.00 for an inflatable for this event is hereby authorized.
