Software System RESOLUTION 6:048:07 - 1 RE: Authorizing New Accounting Software System Councilman Daniel French offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, we have been experiencing continuous support problems with the current accounting software system which have worsened since July of last year impeding the efficiency of the day to day operations of the Comptroller’s office; and WHEREAS, the Comptroller has investigated other options that are suitable for local government in addition to having technical support personnel who respond in a timely and concise manner as possible; and WHEREAS, the Comptroller recommends the KVS Information Systems, Inc., which has a reputation of stability and success; and WHEREAS, the funds for this expenditure have been included in the 2007 budget; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes the purchase of the new accounting software system from KVS Information Systems, Inc. at a cost of $22,334.00; and be it further RESOLVED, that the purchase of a server to accommodate the system is hereby authorized; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to sign the KVS License Agreement and Software Subscription Service Agreements necessary for this purchase.
Dated: June 4, 2007 RESOLUTION 6:04:07 - 2 RE: In Support of the Submission of Preserve America Historic Preservation Grant Application Supervisor John Adams offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, federal funding in the form of a matching grant is available to designated Preserve America Communities to support preservation efforts through heritage tourism, education and historic preservation planning; and WHEREAS, the Town of Beekman has submitted an application to receive the Preserve America designation; and WHEREAS, repairs are underway on the Mill House, a historically significant site in the Town of Beekman, so that it can be utilized by the public as a town museum conveying the history of our community through various programs and exhibits including historical artifacts and photographs; and WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Beekman is in support of submitting an application for funding to be used for the Mill House Project, which will promote and preserve our community’s cultural resources through interpretation and education; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to submit the 2007 Preserve America Historic Preservation Fund Grant application; and be it further RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to sign the grant application and to carry out and comply with the terms and conditions for funding of this project.
