Hearing on Change of CAC Membership RESOLUTION 6:5:06 - 1 RE: To Set Public Hearing on Change of CAC Membership Supervisor John D. Adams offers the following and moves its adoption:
WHEREAS, General Municipal Law states that a Conservation Advisory Council (CAC) can have up to 9 members at a time; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that a public hearing on the proposed amendment to the Code of the Town of Beekman, increasing membership to the CAC to 9 be held on the 19th day of June 2006 at 7:20 o’clock p.m. at the Community Center, Recreation Center Road, in the Town of Beekman, New York; and be it further RESOLVED, that notice stating the time and place of such hearing and setting forth the proposed amendment be published on or before the 9th day of June, 2006 in the Poughkeepsie Journal, a newspaper circulating in the Town of Beekman, and posted on the signboard of the Town. RESOLUTION 6:5:06 - 2 RE: Community Day Contracts Councilman Thomas Kinsley offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the Community Day Committee has received proposals for the rental of a tent, chairs and tables as well as for musical entertainment for this year’s Community Day to be held on Saturday, July 15, 2006; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to enter into contracts for the following:

RESOLUTION 6:5:06 - 3 RE: Authorizing Joint Feasibility Study In Developing Beekman Town Center Water and Sewer Infrastructure Councilman Daniel French offers the following and moves its adoption:
WHEREAS, the Town has recognized that the provision of water and sewer infrastructure is necessary to support the desired land use patterns within the Town Center; and WHEREAS, the Town of Beekman has requested that the Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority evaluate the feasibility and projected cost of establishing the necessary water and sewer infrastructure in the Beekman Town Center Area; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes the Town of Beekman to enter into a joint contract, to be funded on a fifty-fifty basis, with Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority, with a professional engineering service to complete the Feasibility Study, as defined in the attached “Request for Proposal”. RESOLUTION 6:5:06 - 4 RE: To Go out to Bid on “Mini Golf Park”
WHEREAS, the Recreation Commission as well as the Recreation Director after much research and discussion, have recommended that a Mini Golf Park be installed at Beekman Recreation Park to provide family entertainment as well as enhance our recreation programs; and WHEREAS, space is available on the site of the former skate park; and WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Recreation Commission to use Special Recreation Funds (SRF) for the purchase and installation cost of the mini golf park; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized to seek bids for a Mini Golf Park, based on the attached specifications. RESOLUTION 6:5:06 - 5 RE: MVP Health Insurance Renewal Councilman Thomas Kinsley offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, upon the Town’s group health insurance renewal date of July 1, 2006, the small group health plan offered by MVP has been discontinued and replaced with a new MVP New York HMO Certificate of Coverage and Group Contract; and WHEREAS, in order to maintain coverage for the Town’s employees with MVP on the renewal date, it is necessary to complete a group application and select a benefit plan most closest available to our current plans; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Beekman hereby selects the following benefit plan in accordance with the town’s union contracts:

Dated: June 5, 2006 RESOLUTION 6:5:06 - 6 RE: Authorizing Attendance at Planning & Zoning Summer School Councilwoman Barbara Zulauf offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the Association of Towns of the State of New York is hosting a Planning and Zoning Summer School on July 13, 2006 in Hyde Park; and WHEREAS, the cost of $40.00 per person has been included in the 2006 budget; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the following individuals, who have requested to attend, are hereby authorized to attend the course:
And be it further RESOLVED, that should any other ZBA member or Planning Board member find that they are able to attend, their attendance is hereby authorized. Seconded Councilman Thomas Kinsley
RESOLUTION 6:5:06 - 7 RE: To Set Public Hearing on an Amendment to Section 155-42 of The Town of Beekman Town Code “Multi-Family Dwellings” Councilman Daniel French offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the Town of Beekman Planning Board has recommended a modification to the Town of Beekman s Zoning Code that will better address “Multi-family Housing”; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that a public hearing on a proposed amendment to Section 155-42 Multi-family Dwellings to the Code of the Town of Beekman, be held on the 19th day of June, 2006 at 7:10 o’clock p.m.; at the Community Center, Recreation Center Road, in the Town of Beekman, New York; and be it further RESOLVED, that notice stating the time and place of such hearing and setting forth the proposed amendment, or describing in general terms the proposed amendment, be published once on or before the 9th day of June, 2006 in the Poughkeepsie Journal, a newspaper circulating in the Town of Beekman, and posted on the signboard of the Town.

RESOLUTION 6:5:06 - 8 RE: Accepting Turkey Run Road for Dedication as a Town Road Supervisor John Adams offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, the road known as Turkey Run Road in the DiConstanzo Subdivision, has been inspected by the Town Engineer and the Town Highway Superintendent and found to be constructed in accordance with the Town of Beekman road specifications; and WHEREAS, the Town Engineer and the Town Highway Superintendent have recommended the acceptance of said Turkey Run Road; and WHEREAS, the Attorney to the Town has received and examined the title and conveyancing documents tendered to accomplish the transfer of this road and has approved the same; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the town and its residents that Turkey Run Road be accepted as a town highway; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the existing performance bond in the amount of $55,540.00 securing the construction of Turkey Run Road be reduced to the sum of $5,550.00 and retained as a maintenance bond against defect or failure of the road for a period of one (1) year from this date; and be it further RESOLVED, that the road known as Turkey Run Road and described in the conveyancing documents provided to the Attorney to the Town be accepted as a Town Highway and that the Highway Superintendent be requested to add said road to the inventory of Town of Beekman highways.
