RESOLUTION 7:16:07 - 1 RE: Naming of Lansbrook Court


Councilman Daniel French offers the following and moves its adoption:


WHEREAS, Dutchess County Enhanced 911 Department of Emergency Response has received a request for a road name for a new road serving the Lansbrook Subdivision, an eight lot subdivision off Miller Road; and

WHEREAS, the proposed name, “Lansbrook Court” has been approved by both the Town of Beekman Planning Board and Dutchess County 911 Addressing Office; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the name Lansbrook Court be hereby given to the road serving the Lansbrook Subdivision.

RESOLUTION 7:16:07 - 2 RE: To Award Bid for Town Center Water and Sewer Infrastructure Feasibility Study

Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption:


WHEREAS, the Town of Beekman and Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority have entered into a joint agreement, to be funded on a 50-50 basis, to evaluate the feasibility and projected cost of establishing the necessary water and sewer infrastructure in the Beekman Town Center area; and

WHEREAS, Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority was authorized to solicit “Requests for Proposals” from professional engineering firms to conduct the feasibility study; and

WHEREAS, proposals received have been reviewed by the Town of Beekman and
Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Town of Beekman hereby consents to entering into a joint agreement with the Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority and Delaware Engineering, PC of Albany, NY for the “Engineering Feasibility Study: Beekman Town Center Central Water Supply and Sewer System Alternatives” in accordance with the Request for Proposals issued for same dated April 23, 2007, and based upon Delaware Engineering, PC’s price quote for this study dated June 8, 2007, for an amount not to exceed $89,500 with the Town’s share for this project not to exceed $44,750; and authorizes the Town Supervisor to execute said agreement for same.
