and Setting Salary Bernard Wallen – Maintenance Mechanic RESOLUTION 8:20:07 - 1 RE: Authorizing Title Change and Setting Salary Bernard Wallen – Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor John Adams offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, Dutchess County Personnel has approved a title change for Bernard Wallen in the Maintenance Department; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that Bernard Wallen be given the title of Maintenance Mechanic; and be it further RESOLVED, that effective August 20, 2007 the hourly rate be set at $ 20.59 for the remainder of 2007. Seconded Councilman Thomas Kinsley ROLLL CALL VOTE: Dated: August 20, 2007 RESOLUTION 8:20:07 - 2 RE: To Waive 30 Day Notice for Liquor License Application – Big Dog’s Pub, Inc.. Councilman Barbara Zulauf offers the following and moves its adoption: WHEREAS, Big Dog’s Pub, Inc.. doing business at 817 Beekman Road, New York in the Town of Beekman intends to file for a New York State Liquor License; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Alcohol Beverage Control Law § 64 (2A), an applicant must give the municipality thirty (30) days notice of the pending liquor license application unless the municipality consents to waive this thirty (30) day requirement; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Beekman hereby waives the thirty (30) days notice period in regard to Big Dog’s Pub, Inc.. allowing an earlier submission of the liquor license application. RESOLUTION 8:20:07 - 3 RE: Extension of Moratorium in the Poughquag Hamlet
WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan Review Committee will be undertaking zoning updates that could potentially impact the Poughquag Hamlet; and WHEREAS, Local Law #4 of 2007 imposes a six-month moratorium on planning approvals in the Poughquag Hamlet; and WHEREAS, said Local Law allows for a six month extension period if the Town determines that accomplishing the purposes of this local law requires additional time; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby extends the moratorium within the Poughquag Hamlet for an additional six month period expiring on the 27th day of February, 2008. RESOLUTION 8:20:07 - 4 RE: To Set Public Hearing on Proposed Amendment to the Town Code Water Systems & Fire Fighting Councilman Werner Stiegler offers the following and moves its adoption:
RESOLVED, that a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the Code of the Town of Beekman on Water Systems and Fire Fighting be held on the 10th day of September, 2007 at 7:20 o’clock p.m. at the Town of Beekman Community Center, Recreation Center Road, in the Town of Beekman, New York, and that notice of the time and place of such hearing and setting forth the proposed amendment, be published once on or before the 1st day of September 2007 in the Poughkeepsie Journal, a newspaper circulating in the Town of Beekman. RESOLUTION 8:20:07 - 5 RE: To Go Out to Bid on Dump Body for Highway Dept. Truck
