RESOLUTION NO. 04:11:18 – 1 (52)
RE: Approval of Past Town Board Minutes
COUNCILMAN STIEGLER          offers the following and moves for its adoption:
WHEREAS, Town Clerk Rachael Rancourt has provided copies of the minutes of the March 28, 2018 Town Board Meetings to all members of the Beekman Town Board; and
WHEREAS, Town Board members have had the opportunity to review said minutes; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, the Town Board hereby adopts the minutes of the March 28, 2018 Town Board Meeting.

RESOLUTION NO. 04:11:18 – 2 (52)
RE:  THE TOWN BOARD ENGAGING SPECIAL COUNSEL PURSUANT TO TOWN LAW §20(2)(a) FOR A MATTER WHICH THE TOWN ATTORNEY HAS A CONFLICT 
COUNCILMAN BATTAGLINI     offers the following and moves for its adoption: 
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 20(2)(a) of the Town Law the Town of Beekman is desirous of retaining Thomas F. Kelly of the firm Kelly & Meenagh, LLP as Special Counsel for a matter in which the Town Attorney has a conflict with a known party; and 
WHEREAS, the matter which is known to the Town Board cannot be disclosed publicly at this time without jeopardizing the Town of Beekman’s legal rights; and
NOW, THEREFORE, 
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Beekman hereby appoints Thomas F. Kelly at “Special Counsel” pursuant to Section 20(2)(a) of the Town Law at a rate of $185 an hour; and be it further 
RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is authorized to execute a letter of engagement with Mr. Kelly.

SUPERVISOR COVUCCI        offers the following and moves for its adoption: 
WHEREAS, the Highway Department has surplus equipment listed below
 2000 Chevrolet 3500 Series Pick Up Truck with VIN

And; 
WHEREAS, the Town Board is desirous in disposing of this equipment; now therefore be it 
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes Tony Coviello, Highway Superintendent, to place these items for sale at Auctions International.

RESOLUTION NO. 04:11:18 –4 (54)
Re:  Board Appointments
  COUNCILMAN SWARTZ       offers the following and moves for its adoption:    
WHEREAS, the Town Board will make appointments to the various boards; now therefore be it  
RESOLVED, that the following appointments be made:     ·        Appoint John Frustace as an alternate member to the Planning Board with a term to expire December 31, 2021.         And be it further   
RESOLVED, that all appointments are contingent upon completion and submission of the Disclosure of Interest Statement pursuant to Chapter 19-9 of the Town Code, unless already on file and the information has not changed; and be it further    
RESOLVED, that all appointees shall file their Oath of Office with the Town Clerk of the Town of Beekman prior to serving their term.
