RESOLUTION 09:24:01
- (To Authorize Professional Services for Ambulance/Maintenance Center Construction) Councilwoman Stephanie Mauro offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS the Beekman Fire District has terminated use of its facility for Town of Beekman ambulance services effective November 1, 2001; and

WHEREAS the protection of the health, safety and welfare of the community necessitates providing a facility in which an ambulance and EMS crew can be based within the Town of Beekman; and

WHEREAS the Town also requires the construction of a maintenance garage/facility; and

WHEREAS the Town board has been advised that such facilities can most cost-effectively and quickly be designed and constructed as a single building for which the bidding and construction is overseen and coordinated by a professional construction manager; therefore be it

RESOLVED that for the above stated purposes the Supervisor be and hereby is authorized to engage the services of Liscum McCormack VanVorrhis Architects in accordance with their proposal letter of August 20, 2001; and be it further

RESOLVED that the Supervisor be and hereby is authorized to engage the services of Transitional Builders Inc. to provided construction management services in accordance with their proposal letter of August 20, 2001.

RESOLUTION 09:24:01 (Approval of Local 456, I.B.T. Collective Bargaining Agreement) Councilman Peter Barton offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, Councilwoman Mauro and Supervisor McKee have negotiated a proposed collective bargaining agreement with Local 456, I.B.T for the time period of July 1, 2001 - June 30, 2004; and

WHEREAS, the Town of Beekman Highway Department employees who are members of Local 456 have voted on and approved the proposed agreement; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the proposed Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Town of Beekman and Local 456, I.B.T effective July 1, 2001 to June 30, 2004, is hereby approved for execution by the Town Supervisor.

RESOLUTION 09:24:01 - RE: Approval for Assessor to Attend Agricultural Assessment School Councilman Peter Barton offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, Agricultural Assessment School sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension is being offered on October 18 and 19, 2001in Albany; and

WHEREAS, attendance at seminar will supply 12 continuing education credits; and

WHEREAS, the State will reimburse the tuition and mileage expenses; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the Assessor be and hereby is authorized to attend above seminar. Seconded Councilwoman Stephanie Mauro

RESOLUTION 09:24:01 - RE: Approval of Civil Service Employees Association, Local 1000 Councilman Peter Barton offers the following and moves its adoption:

WHEREAS, Councilwoman Mauro and Supervisor McKee have negotiated a proposed collective bargaining agreement with Local 1000, Civil Service Employees Association for the time period of January, 1, 2001 to December 31, 2003; and

WHEREAS, the Town of Beekman employees who are members of Local 1000 have voted on and approved the proposed agreement; now therefore be it

RESOLVED, that the proposed Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Town of Beekman and Local 1000, CSEA effective January 1, 2001 to December 31, 2003, is hereby approved for execution by the Town Supervisor.
